With five of the 7Stanes mountain bike locations in Dumfries and Galloway, it’s hardly surprising we are so much sought after to support these events with our First Aid Base Units and 4x4 vehicles We’ve been travelling around Scotland providing cover for other cycling events as far afield as Fort William and the North East.  One of our main customers in this sector of business is Borderline Events. Likewise, equestrian gatherings, agricultural shows and country fairs are the order of the day at this time of year.  Chris Marshall said First aid provision is absolutely essential at these events and it’s often overlooked by organisers in the early stages of planning.  We encourage organising committees to build their first aid requirements into their plans as early as possible.  They should contact us early to seek advice if required.”  Events First Aid and Rescue is essentially a family business, employing specialists known to us personally; people we trust and know they can be relied upon at all times.

New Custom Built

Ambulance

Recently added to our fleet and customised to the needs of Events First Aid and Rescue is our VW Transporter, 4x4 ambulance.  We regard this new vehicle as essential to our business, especially our motor sport support function. Casualties being transported from remote off-road locations, or along forest tracks, now benefit from a higher level of comfort; in the knowledge that the equipment required to treat their injures is accommodated on board.

Festival Season

The summer months are generally famous for their festivals.  Music festivals in particular have grown in popularity with Dumfries and Galloway hosting a fair share of events which are growing in popularity. One of the most remote locations for such an event is Knockengorroch, home of the famous  ‘World Ceilidh’.  Events First Aid and Rescue provided the organisers with a 4x4 ambulance for 12 hours each night during the three day event.

MSA Licensed Rescue

Unit

Our motor sport rescue crews have recently undergone their re- licensing process and are up to speed with the latest rescue techniques and extrication practices. Chris Marshall, (pictured on the right above) said Motor sport rescue and safety unit cover has become a significant part of our work in the last couple of years and we’ve spent a lot of time enhancing our skills to deal with the most complex of incidents.”
